The aim of the organizers is to produce a high quality scientific publication highlighting the themes of the conference. An agreement has been reached with Silva Fennica (www.metla.fi/silvafennica) concerning a special issue of the journal. Silva Fennica is a peer-reviewed international journal of forest science. It is among the highest ranked general forest science journals.

Based on the submitted manuscripts a set of high quality scientific papers will be published in the special issue. Especially review papers are welcome. Silva Fennica also publishes high quality discussion papers. The papers will go through a normal review process of the journal. The deadline for manuscript submission is October 30, 2010. When submitting to the journal, use the abbreviation PRIFOR2010 to clearly indicate that the manuscript is intended for the special issue.
